About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join the Inpatient Mental Health Unit in Lismore, NSW.6-12 week contracts available.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute mental health conditions in an inpatient unit
- Conduct mental health assessments and contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans
- Administer medications, monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary
- Engage in therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques as required
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain clear and accurate patient records, ensuring adherence to mental health legislation and best practice standards
- Support patients through their recovery journey and assist in discharge planning
Essential Criteria:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- A minimum of 2 years' post-grad experience as a Registered Nurse working in mental health
- Ability to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
- Experience in medication management and patient assessment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and promoting independence in adults
