Expected Responsibilities:

  • Leading and mentoring staff.
  • Ensuring quality delivery of care.
  • Managing resources effectively.
  • Driving continuous improvement with a project-based focus.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring swift integration for seamless continuity of care.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Managing crises and supporting staff.
  • Providing education and training.
  • Engaging with the community.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Adapting quickly to new environments and teams.
  • Balancing multiple assignments with autonomy over schedule and workload.
  • Being resilient and adaptable to new challenges and environments.

Requirements:

  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Australian working rights - visa sponsorship is not available.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in mental health nursing, including a minimum of 2 years' management experience.
  • Experience of working in the Australian healthcare system.
  • Post-graduate qualifications are highly desirable and are likely to equate to additional pay.
