About the role 

As a Career Medical Officer - Consultation Liaison, you will be responsible for providing medical care to patients in the Mental Health Services - South unit located in the Royal Hobart Hospital. You will work full-time day shifts from 08:30 to 17:00, working 80 hours a fortnight. On-call availability is required. You will report to the Clinical Director - Adult Mental Health Services.

Duties

• Provide medical care to patients in the Mental Health Services - South unit.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.

Skills & experience

• Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Demonstrated experience in providing medical care to patients in a hospital setting.
